"Fashion has always been a way for me to drape myself, or others, in my own sort of artistic creation. Whether I was adorning the body of Barbie, my best friend, or myself, fashion has always made me feel whole and invigorated."

Jack’s collection: My collection is designed to be worn in the evening or day, while capturing and displaying the intricate beading and colorful silks of the nighttime bazaars in the Middle East and India. I want the woman and onlookers who watche the belly dancer parade through the tables to capture her own wild and beautiful look. The purpose is to capture the exotic beauty of ethnic dance, yet, still be wearable when not on a stage. My sister, who is a practicing medical doctor during the day and an exotic belly dancer on special occasions, is the inspiration for this collection.

What about Fusion are you most excited about? Through Fusion, I am able to experience what the next three years and possibly the rest of my life are going to be like in the world of fashion design. A small glimpse into what the future may hold for me is an invaluable asset to my growth as a student and individual while I'm at Parsons.
