Fashion & costume designer Austin Scarlett was a rising star in New York's downtown after-hours before he ever set foot on the Project Runway set - but that is where many of his fashion-loving fans first fell in love.
His beginnings in design can be traced back before the tender of age 10, and since then he has worked to build a name that represents his elegant, elaborate tastes in the sea of young designers blazing trails today.
With the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Project Runway, MGM and Paramount Studios on his resume, we are thrilled to have this talented, ambitious designer as a judge for Fusion 2008. He exemplifies the determination and creative energy that Fusion was built on.
