What is fashion to you? I don’t define fashion as a special clothing brand. Fashion is my way of discovering my identity and myself. Fashion is not just clothing, but rather physical representation of my thoughts, memories and an aspect of my artistic process.

Collection: “Vespa on the Cobblestones” - I got inspired by the Vespas on the cobblestones in New York City. For me, the first feeling of the Vespa is masculine but also feminine. I used the curvy and straight lines of the Vespa to design both ladylike and tomboy looks based on a sporty feeling. Also, I designed the volume shapes inspired by each of Vespa’s components, which have stereoscopic shapes. In order to express body sculpture volume, I used knit and padding for the entire collection. I picked gray which represents the cobblestones, and cream as the main color. With these achromatic colors, I used different types and textures of fabric for interesting looks.

What/who inspires you? Art and New York City are prime motivators for me. I have been in an artistic mood since I’ve been in the city. I keep myself fresh and gather my thoughts by exploring the city, which has many artistic places. I make progress constantly by surrounding myself with art and New York City.

What does Fusion mean to you? Fusion makes my heart come alive as a future designer. I always wanted to express my ideas of design and present them to people. Now it is a perfect chance to challenge myself in this accomplishment.
