What is fashion to you? Fashion enables me to perceive and think in a different way. I try to instill ethos and emotions into fashion through the process of design, and resonate with the spirits of people who wear those garments. And I think fashion is also a media through which people demonstrate themselves – such as their aesthetics, values, moods and attitudes.

Collection: “Endanger” - My Collection consists of 5 evening dresses, each of which follows and stresses on the original body shape of the model. It draws inspiration from wild nocturnal animals and resembles their features through the variation of opacity, fabric and structure. Within its animalistic style, my collection will create an intense and avant-guard visual experience.

What/who inspires you?…Batman?

What does Fusion mean to you? Fusion is an opportunity for me to experience the whole process of making a collection. By working on each stage of production and showing my ideas and aesthetics on the runway, I want to get feedback from the public and figure out what kind of role I’d like to play in the fashion industry. Fusion also brings a huge challenge to me not only as a designer but also as an engineer who loves to innovate with materials. It pushes me to subvert some common approaches and experiment with non-fabric components such as silicon rubber, flexible foam, vinyl plastic, LED lights, and aluminum alloy!
